Phase 2 of the St. Nicholas Church renovation project is officially underway. Contractors have begun excavating trenches along the exterior perimeter to carry out essential maintenance and repairs to the church foundation.

New door installed The highest quality materials were used

A lot of demolition is currently being undertaken. Scaffolding up and work started sealing the roof.

Major progress has been made on the downpipes and gutters. Beautiful detail can be seen and the highest quality piping was used to protect the original design of the church.

Work commencing on the graveyard and wheelchair accessibility toilet in the Ballyduff Church graveyard.

Scaffolding has been assembled. Access to the Upper Main Window for trim removal can continue.

The frames have been bedded and pointed in Burnt Sand Mastic. Temporary protective plywood sheeting has been added until the restored/repaired glazing panels are returned from the workshop.

The entire frame of EW 2. has been re-made. Scarf jointed repairs have been made to the lower section of EW 3

Round windows hung in place again

Round windows returned from the workshop and un-crated re-leaded and sealed stained glass panels.

Its rotted framing and storm damaged glazing was removed to the Devon Art Glass workshop for restoration/repairs.Temporary plywood infilling is now fixed in the brick and stone shaped reveals.
